Custom Medal Quality Inspection Checklist

Build a pre-shipment inspection plan for custom medals, enamel pins, metal badges and challenge coins. Use it with the approved artwork, purchase order and packaging instructions.

At a glanceInspection should compare the finished goods with the approved proof and specification, then check dimensions, appearance, plating, enamel, attachments, quantity, packaging and carton identification.

Inspection output

Your inspection record

Complete the project details, check the reviewed items, then select “Generate Inspection Record.”

This is a planning tool, not a substitute for an agreed sampling method, defect classification or independent inspection contract.

Before inspection

Define the approved reference

Inspectors need the final artwork, dimensions, process, finish, color references, attachment, packaging and carton instructions. Without an approved reference, “pass” and “fail” can become subjective.

Sampling method

Do not assume one universal AQL plan

The buyer should define the sampling plan, critical defects, major defects, minor defects and acceptance limits appropriate to the product and risk. Record any requirement before production and inspection.
